DAMO-SSD is responsible for policy development, implementation, compliance, resource management, and program oversight within the three pillars of CWMD: Nonproliferation (arms control treaties, agreements, and initiatives); Counterproliferation (offensive, elimination, and interdiction operations, as well as active defense); and Consequence Management (actions to reduce the effects of a WMD attack or event, and passive defense, to include nuclear, biological, and chemical Surety programs.) Toeroek currently supports DAMO-SSD Nonproliferation (NP) Branch with a full-range of arms control implementation and compliance support, encompassing all of the treaties and agreements that could impact the Army and including key functions of policy analysis, research, staff support, support to arms control implementation and compliance activities, and fulfilling the arms control liaison role to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment (ASA(IE&E)).
