Toeroek provides support and assistance to EPA Regions 2, 4 and 5 with the implementation of the RCRA coal combustion residual (CCR) rule, 40 CFR 257, Subpart D (Standards for the Disposal of Coal Combustion Residuals in Landfills and Surface Impoundments). This includes statistical assessments, evaluation of groundwater monitoring programs, review of plans, operational plans, and landfill and impoundment designs at CCR facilities. This also included a technical reviews of proposed corrective measures at a closed coal-based electrical power generation station, including workplan and geotechnical investigations summary report to determine the appropriateness of site geology to support slurry wall and in-situ stabilization/solidification (ISS) encapsulation of CCR.
