DTRA Nuclear Stockpile Management and History Support

Toeroek provides direct Stockpile Management support and coordination among the Navy, Air Force, Department of Energy, and other stakeholders to ensure the stockpile is managed to the President’s directives and that the Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services (DIAMONDS) database is accurate and up to date. Toeroek also supports the ongoing development of the Nuclear History database, which provides authorized users with digital access to the historical status of every U.S. nuclear weapon manufactured since WWII. This includes review of historical records and declassification procedures.

Toeroek personnel are responsible for managing stockpile quantities, managing weapon shipments, monitoring daily DoD weapon status reporting, ensuring accuracy of the stockpile database of record, and maintaining historic weapon data from 1947 to present. While the stockpile size continues to decrease, the process of managing the weapons and ensuring accurate data remains a complex challenge.
