Infrared Flyover Surveys

Toeroek conducts aerial surveys of industrial and oil and gas facilities to pinpoint, quantify, and track methane and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions. Aerial surveys have been performed in the oil fields of the Permian Basin, Oklahoma, Montana, and North Dakota. Industrial facilities have been surveyed in over 10 states. We partner with a company with over 20 years of aerial survey experience. The surveys are conducted using a helicopter outfitted with Optical Gas Imaging cameras which colorize hydrocarbon gas leaks, enhancing the capability to identify and detect these leaks. Using the survey data as evidence of emissions, EPA has enforced numerous violations of the Clean Air Act, compelling emitters to resolve these violations and fix the leaks through corrective action, equipment upgrades, and improved monitoring.
